One Focus Per Session
Open play will hand you ten things to fix. Take one cue on court, or you leave with the same habits.
A session with five cues is a session with none.
Open play is a buffet. You miss a volley, then a third, then a reset, and by game three you’re coaching yourself on everything. That’s how you leave with sore legs and the same habits.
A coach who watched the whole match would give you one thing. Not because the rest is fine — because one thing you can actually hold will move. Five things you half-remember will not.
Pick the cue before you walk on. Write it on your wristband or say it to your partner. When the mind starts collecting new problems, send them home. They’ll still be there Thursday.
Try this next session: Choose one cue. After every game, ask only: did I do that? Not “did we win.” Not “how was my third.” Just that.
This is the kind of thing a coach sees when they watch the whole match — not just the score. Film Room is where we do that with your session.
